Roasted Peanuts

These oven-roasted peanuts are my Dad's recipe and it could not be easier. Just remember: turn off the oven and don't take them out or even open the door for an hour.

  • 1 pound raw peanuts, in shells


Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 500 degrees F (260 degrees C).

  2. Arrange peanuts in a single layer on a cookie sheet, and place in the preheated oven.

  3. Turn the oven off. Leave peanuts in the oven for 1 hour without opening the door. Serve warm or at room temperature.
