Ingredients

Ingredients List
  • 16 fresh or dried pitted dates, such as Medjool

  • 16 smoked almonds

  • 8 thick slices applewood-smoked bacon, halved crosswise

  • Reynolds Wrap® Aluminum Foil

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Cut a slit in each date. Place almonds inside slits. Press together the dates to close slits. Wrap each date with a piece of bacon.

  2. Line a shallow baking pan with Reynolds Wrap® Aluminum Foil. Add a roasting rack; place the dates on rack. Roast for 15 to 20 minutes or until bacon is crisp. Serve immediately with toothpicks. Dates will be hot inside.

REYNOLDS KITCHENS TIP:

Aluminum foil is a must for roasting the appetizer. It collects any drippings from the bacon for a quick cleanup at the end. To line the pan fast, turn pan upside down and press sheet of aluminum foil around it. With aluminum foil, you can use either shiny side up or dull side up. Remove the aluminum foil. Turn over; drop foil inside. Crimp edges and you're ready to cook.
